Good evening,
I was so glad to see all of you today! If you missed today, the service was recorded.
First, I am so grateful for the Archbishop coming to our parish multiple times this year! Not many parishes get this opportunity so I am very thankful.
The vestry met today with the Archbishop. Archbishop is very pleased with how things are going at our parish and it was announced that I will be made priest in charge next year.
We have also had some visitors the past two weeks which should be an encouragement to us all. One of the visitors felt very welcomed by our congregation today so I thank you for that. As Bishop Jones of the APA has said relationships are one of the cornerstones of church growth. I am of course paraphrasing but I think that our parish really makes these connections and we are a family. Please be encouraged.
This week we will have a mass on Thursday at 4PM and a mass on Saturday at 11am for the Society of Mary meeting which meets at 10:30 am in the sanctuary. Please contact Sue Krall if you have any questions about the Society of Mary.
I have been thinking about services at the church and wondering about what times are convenient. I do want to begin doing corporate services of Evening Prayer. I will let you know when I will begin these services. I plan to live stream them as well. I do realize many of you drive a great distance and I am not trying to make a hardship for you. Please do not feel that I expect you to be at every service in the week. I just feel we should be doing services throughout the week.
I hope the Eucharist on Thursday is a convenient time. If you have another suggestion, I would like to hear from you as I am trying to make these services accessible for all of you.
Thank you to everyone who makes St. Michael and All Angels a great parish! Thank you to all of you! I am truly blessed to be your priest.
In Christ, Fr. Brandon
